Linkin Park are pleased with their next studio effort

Linkin Park frontman Chester Bennington claimed that the work on their next studio effort is going very well. According to his words, they have already written a huge number of songs, and they are sure that the record will hit the stores next year.

He said: "We're in the studio and we're well on our way to making our next record. I can tell you that we have a lot of good music, a lot of quality songs".

Chester Bennington added that in future Linkin Park would like to tour less in order to concentrate on recording new music.

Earlier Linkin Park members claimed that their next studio effort would become very controversial record – because it would address a number of "serious issues", such as politics and faith.

Linkin Park frontman Chester Bennington said: "It will probably get a very polarized reaction. Which pleases me. As an artist, I want a reaction. We've learned how to write serious songs and serious lyrics. We've learned how to deal with politics, faith and other things. Those are things that can get preachy really quickly, which we don't want to do".

Linkin Park's previous album A Thousand Suns hit the stores in 2010.
