Lil' Wayne revised his plans for upcoming album

Oct 10, 2009
US rapper Lil' Wayne confirmed information that his upcoming record The Rebirth could be released as a double album. However, he denied that it would come out along with his another long-awaited album, Tha Carter IV. According to rapper’s words, The Rebirth may be accompanied with an album All-Star by Young Money – the band which is signed to Lil' Wayne’s own record-label.

«The Rebirth may come as a double with the Young Money’s All-Star disc. Tha Carter IV deserves Tha Carter IV and that's that. They're pushing for that. I ain't trying to give it to them like that. It won't be given like that, trust me», said he.

Lil' Wayne has not recently named the release date for both of his album. The Rebirth is expected to be released earlier and become Lil’ Wayne’s first ever rock-album. According to Wayne’s friend, hip hop star Drake, Wayne was inspired to change direction by Kanye West who prefered singing to rapping on his latest album 808s And Heartbreak.

Rapper’s previous album Tha Carter III was released in June 2008 and was sold over one million copies in a week in the US.
