Lil Wayne postponed the release of Rebirth
Jan 01, 2010US rapper Lil Wayne decided to push back the release of his new album Rebirth. Highly anticipated record will not hit the stores on February 1. Instead, it will come out on June 22. Rapper did not explain the reason of this delay.
Originally record was set to hit the stores in April 2009, but its release was pushed back until December, and later it was postponed until February.
Rebirth is set to become Lil Wayne’s first ever rock-album. According to Wayne’s friend, hip hop star Drake, Wayne was inspired to change direction by Kanye West who preferred singing to rapping on his latest album 808's And Heartbreak. Upcoming record will feature duo with the Eminem on the track Drop The World, as well as collaborations with Blink-182, Lenny Kravitiz and Fall Out Boy.
Another Lil Wayne’s album, Tha Carter IV, was also delayed, and its release date is yet unknown.
