Dec 12, 2009
Lil Wayne announced that his long-awaited album Rebirth would not hit the stores this month. The record was set to be released in April, but later it was delayed until December 15. However, recently Lil Wayne claimed that it would hit the stores on February 1.

US rapper was found guilty of illegal gun possession this autumn. He may be already put in prison by the time album would hit the stores.

Rebirth is set to become Lil Wayne’s first ever rock-album. According to Wayne’s friend, hip hop star Drake, Wayne was inspired to change direction by Kanye West who prefered singing to rapping on his latest album 808s And Heartbreak.

Upcoming record will feature duo with the Eminem on the track Drop The World, as well as collaborations with Blink-182, Lenny Kravitiz and Fall Out Boy.

Another long-awaited album by Lil Wayne – Tha Carter IV – was also postponed until 2010.
