Lil Wayne named Tha Carter IV release day

Jul 07, 2011
Lil Wayne claimed that he has finished the work on his highly anticipated album Tha Carter IV. According to the rapper, it is set to hit the stores in the end of August with no further delays.

Originally scheduled to come out last year, Tha Carter IV was delayed until May 2011 and later until June.

Lil Wayne also revealed that Tha Carter IV would be preceded by single How To Love, inspired by Tupac.

"It was like Tupac had Keep Ya Head Up and it was a message to women and little girls across the world just to keep your head up even though things are hard. That's what my song was", said Lil Wayne.

Rapper added that most of the tracks on the new album have been recorded after he has been released from prison last autumn. Rapper was put in prison in March 2010 for illegal gun possession.

Tha Carter IV is set to feature collaborations with T-Pain and Kanye West.

Lil Wayne already released two albums last year, named Rebirth and I Am Not A Human Being.
