Liam Gallagher urged The Stone Roses to reunite

Jun 06, 2011
Former Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher claimed that he would like The Stone Roses to reunite. According to the singer, this step will make the fans happy and at the same time let Ian Brown and his bandmates earn a lot of money.

"I'd love The Stone Roses to get back, play that album and make a load of money for themselves, because I'm sure they didn't make that much before. Do some great gigs, see what the reaction is and go make a new record", said Gallaher.

Singer added that he always performed The Stone Roses' song I Am The Resurrection during the concerts with his new band Beady Eye, and offered Ian Brown his help with the work on new album.

"We come on to I Am The Resurrection at all of our gigs and the crowd go nuts. Apparently, Ian Brown's worried about singing but he wouldn't even have to – we'd sing it for him", claimed he.

The Stone Roses formed in 1983 and released only two albums – The Stone Roses (1989) and Second Coming (1994). They split-up in 1994 with no explanation given.
