Liam Gallagher rejected Oasis name
Feb 02, 2010Former Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher claimed that his new band would have a different name. According to the singer, he always thought that Oasis was a bad title for men who play music. «No, it's not Oasis, that was an awful name anyway. I'm glad to see the back of it», said he.
Gallagher claimed that he has already chosen one name for the band, but he did not want to announce it too early. «There's a name that we’re digging at the moment, but we're going to get on with the music and see how it goes», said he.
Earlier Liam Gallagher claimed that he was going to start the recording of his new album in April. According to the singer, he is working together with his former bandmates Andy Bell and Gem Archer. He added that upcoming album was set to be released in July.
«A lot of these new songs are actually songs I wrote before Oasis split up. I mean, there are a few new ones on there that are coming out now», claimed he.
Oasis’ last record Dig Out Your Soul hit the stores in October 2008.
