Lady GaGa and Lily Allen lead the BRIT Awards nominations

BRIT Awards 2010 nominations were announced last night, on January 18, in London. Lady GaGa and Lily Allen became the main favorites of the ceremony, as each one of them will compete in three categories. For instance, both singers are featured in Best Female Artists nomination, which also includes Bat For Lashes, Florence And The Machine, Leona Lewis and Pixie Lott.

Lady GaGa’s debut record The Fame is presented in Best International Album category. Lily Allen’s last studio effort It's Not Me, It's You may receive Best British Album award. Lady GaGa will also compete for Breakthrough Artist honor, while Lily Allen has got Best British Single nomination for The Fear.

Best Male Artist category features Calvin Harris, Dizzee Rascal, Mika, Paolo Nutini and Robbie Williams (who is also set to receive Outstanding Contribution To Music award). Best Group award may go to Doves, Friendly Fires, JLS, Kasabian or Muse.

The awards ceremony will take place next month. It will feature performances by Lady Gaga, Dizzee Rascal, Cheryl Cole, Robbie Williams, Kasabian and others.
