Lady Gaga and Beyonce became main favorites for MTV Video Music AwardsBeyonce and Lady GaGa lead the nominations for the MTV Video Music Awards 2009. Each of the pop-stars were nominated for nine awards, including Video of the Year category. The main award can also be won by Kanye West, Eminem and Britney Spears.

Coldplay were nominated for five awards, including Best Rock Video. They will compete with Green Day, Paramore, Kings Of Leon and Fall Out Boy. Kanye West and Eminem represent Best Hip Hop Video category.

The MTV Video Music Awards 2009 will take place in New York on September 13. It will feature performances by Green Day, Pink, Taylor Swift and Muse, who promised to premiere new single Uprising at the ceremony.

U2 will reissue Artificial Horizon album
U2 revealed plans to reissue their remix compilation album Artificial Horizon. New triple-disc vinyl edition is set to hit the stores on May 14. The record features reworked versions of such hits as Beautiful Day, Vertigo and others.
