Jun 06, 2010
Klaxons revealed details about their next studio album. Titled Surfing The Void, the record is set to hit the stores in August. It will be preceded by the single Echoes, which will be released a week before the album.

Klaxons’ new studio effort was recorded during a three years period in collaboration with producer Ross Robinson, who is known for his work with such acts as Korn, Limp Bizkit, Slipknot, The Cure and others.

Earlier Klaxons’ frontman Jamie Reynolds claimed that the album was inspired by US writer Daniel Pinchbeck, whose works are devoted to shamanism and the use of psychedelic substances. Reynolds added that another theme of Surfing The Void is the year 2012, which, according to his words, «is set to bring people together».

«We believe in the collective consciousness and the world shift, and the dissolving of boundaries and the bringing together of humanity, and everybody having the same objective and living together in harmony. That’s what we’re going for», claimed he.

Tracklist for Surfing The Void is:

Klaxons’ debut album Myths Of The Near Future was released in 2007.
