Kiss will release new album through the Wal-Mart
Aug 08, 2009Kiss announced that they were going to release new album Sonic Boom through Wal-Mart chain of stores. That means that the band will follow a number of other veteran artists, such as The Eagles, Foreigner, Bruce Springsteen and AC/DC. Sonic Boom, which is set to hit the stores in October, will be also released through the Web.
Upcoming record will be Kiss’ first disk since Psycho Circus, released in 1998. The band’s bassist Gene Simmons described the album as having «no strings, no keyboards, no synths, no drums, no nothing - just meat and potatoes». He also said that it would feature such songs as Russian Roulette, Modern Day Delilah and Stand.
Kiss’ singer Paul Stanley added that he did not care about how it will be received by the fans. «The fact is, fans may tolerate the new songs. I think Led Zeppelin's Jimmy Page and Robert Plant found that out. The Rolling Stones certainly know it. The Who certainly know it», said he.
«The album will be made the way I wanted to do it», added he.
