Kate Nash was named best best British female singer

Kate Nash won the Best British Female award at the Brit Awards 2008 in London. Bat For Lashes, PJ Harvey, Leona Lewis and KT Tunstall were also nominated for the award.

«This is really surreal», said Kate. She also expressed her thanks to her fellow nominees «for their individuality which proves that female is not a genre».
