Kasabian want to be like Radiohead

Kasabian frontman Tom Meighan said that he considers Radiohead to be an example to follow. According to his words, Thom Yorke and his bandmates represent the kind of musicians who are constantly developing their skills – that is why he wants to be like them.

"We always try to reinvent ourselves in the way that a band like Radiohead would do. Or we come at things from another angle. West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum was our concept record. We were gonna make our crazy, psychedelia record, which it was, with all these crazy songs in it and then Velociraptor! was back to normal, back-to-basics songwriting. Good songwriting, good pop songs", said he.

Recently Tom Meighan claimed that the band feels very excited to headline upcoming Reading And Leeds festival. Singer said that they "can't wait" till the day of the show comes and promised that the audience will "come alive" once they rise onstage.

Reading And Leeds festival is set to take place on August 25-26. Apart from Kasabian, it will feature Foo Fighters, The Cure, Florence And The Machine, The Vaccines, Enter Shikari and others.
