Kasabian urged musicians to experiment

Kasabian guitarist Serge Pizzorno claimed that the main problem of modern rock bands is their inability to cross boundaries. He urged young musicians to experiment, adding that it is how Kasabian achieved their success.

"Bands need that bit extra in the current chart climate. You should be insane – without ruining the great song you should have written. The Beatles' Strawberry Fields Forever has a superb melody, but the recording sounds like pure experimentation. Pushing boundaries is what rock is lacking", claimed he.

Earlier this month Serge Pizzorno claimed that Kasabian are the best act to headline any festival. "There's a real dance side to what we do and we can create this euphoric feeling amongst lots of people because there's choruses that people can sing, but there's also this electronic swell that you only really get with people like the Chemical Brothers or The Prodigy", stated guitarist.
