Kasabian revealed some details about new album

Dec 12, 2009
Kasabian spoke about their fourth studio album which they were currently working on. The band’s frontman Tom Meighan revealed that the record was influenced by Nirvana and Pink Floyd.

«Sergio Pizzorno, our songwriter and guitarist, has got a body of songs that are sounding great. There’s one that sounds like Nirvana, which is really grungy, a big riff. It’s really old school grunge. There’s also a lot of Pink Floyd, Dark Side Of The Moon, piano-based songs at the minute», said Meighan, adding that upcoming album will be very different from Kasabian’s previous efforts.

At the same time he pointed that Kasabian would not start recording of the new songs very soon because they were busy touring in support of their previous record, West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum. «We've just got to go and take this record round the world and show it to people», claimed he.

West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum hit the stores this summer. Approximate release date for the next album is yet unknown.
