Kasabian announced new single

Several acts have joined the list of musicians who are going to release special singles for this year's Record Store Day. For instance, Kasabian announced that they will record to covers – on Lana Del Rey's Video Games and Gwen Stefani's Sweet Escape. Both tracks are set to hit the stores only on7' vinyl.

The Clash are going to release new version of their London Calling hit, also on vinyl. Arcade Fire promised to contribute a collection of remixes on the song Sprawl II (Mountains Beyond Mountains).

Recently former Oasis guitarist Noel Gallagher announced plans to release new EP to mark upcoming Record Store Day, which is celebrated on April 21. Titled Songs From The Great White North, it will feature four songs, written for his debut solo effort Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds, but not included in it.

The list of artists set to mark Record Store Day also features Arctic Monkeys, Bloc Party, Miles Kane and others.

Record Store Day is internationally celebrated on third Saturday of April each year. Its purpose is to mark the importance of music in whole and especially indie music, as well as independent music stores that contribute to it a lot.

As a tradition, many bands in Britain release special singles to mark Record Store Day.
