Kaiser Chiefs dissatisfied with an unusual release of their new album

Kaiser Chiefs revealed that recent "choose your own album" campaign has brought them unexpected troubles. Earlier the band has released its new album The Future Is Medieval in unusual manner – fans were able to choose 10 out of 20 songs possible before buying the record.

The campaign turned out to be so popular that definitive version of The Future Is Medieval – released on CD a bit later – had very low sales, which made Kaiser Chiefs' record label displeased.

However, Kaiser Chiefs frontman Ricky Wilson said label's bosses have made a mistake themselves.

"Our record label wanted to release the CD in time for festival season so that everyone knew the new songs. I can see that logic, but I’d have waited to release the CD until now, once everyone got their heads around the digital release", claimed he.
