Justin Timberlake may perform a duo with Amy Winehouse

Apr 04, 2009
According to British newspapers, Justin Timberlake offered Amy Winehouse to record a duo for her third studio album. A source, cited by The Sunday Mirror newspaper, said: «Amy gets thousands of offers a week from other artists. Justin Timberlake is one she is considering. But Amy will only do it if the other person's music fits the mood she is in at the time».

Earlier, it was announced that Amy was going to record a track together with Damon Albarn’s band Gorillaz. It was also said that Amy turned down a collaboration with Eminem.

However, these decisions make her record label bosses «not happy». A source from Universal told Daily Mirror: «They were not happy to say the least. They want Amy to get cracking on her new album, but the results have so far not been up to scratch. Imagine how they felt when they realized she had agreed to work with Gorillaz! They couldn't believe it».

Timberlake is currently recording new solo album too. His last record FutureSex/LoveSounds hit the stores in 2006. He also announced the launch of his own Tequila drink recently – named 901, it will be sold exclusively in New York, Los Angeles, Las Vegas and St Louis.
