The Strokes' singer Julian Casablancas revealed some details about his upcoming album. According to his words, the record’s name Phrazes For The Young was chosen after he read Oscar Wilde’s book Phrases And Philosophies For Use Of The Young.

Casablancas also claimed that during the work on this album he has tried to «avoid Phil Collins’ territory». «A lot of the music on the album has a lot of different rhythms going on. It's tricky, because you can fall into Phil Collins territory pretty easily. Not that he's bad, of course», said Casablancas.

Previous week Julian Casablancas announced that his solo album would not be released in October. The record was set to hit the stores this month, but, according to the singer, its release date was pushed back due to «several issues». The album is currently set to his the stores on November 2.

The Strokes’ last studio record First Impressions Of Earth hit the stores in 2006. However, Casablancas has recently claimed that the band was already working on the new album. According to the singer, it will sound like «Thin Lizzy meets A-Ha».
