Jay-Z united with Lil Wayne

Jay-Z signed hip-hop star Lil Wayne to his own record label Roc Nation. According to MediaTakeOut information, Jay-Z paid Cash Money, Lil Wayne's former record label, $5 million in order to secure the deal.

«The deal was in the works for a while; they just needed to get on the same page as to price», an unnamed source was cited.

Jay-Z will release his new album The Blueprint 3 in December 2008. Lil Wayne’s new disk Tha Carter IV will appear in stores in 2009.
