Jay-Z set the record for ticket sales

The tickets for Jay-Z’s upcoming performance at Alexandra Palace became available today, on October 9. According to Live Nation promotion company, they were sold out in 15 seconds – it is the absolutely best result for the single concert in Great Britain.

Jay-Z is set to perform in Alexandra Palace on November 4. London’s show was set in support of rapper’s recent album The Blueprint 3.

Jay-Z has recently finished filming music video with Alicia Keys for their collaboration single Empire State Of Mind. It was filmed near the Ground Zero – a site where The World Trade Center stood. The song itself contains lyrics «long live the world trade», which are devoted to the 9/11 attacks.

It was also announced that Jay-Z will release a compilation album in November. It will feature rapper’s hits from his old albums, such as Reasonable Doubt, The Blueprint, Kingdom Come, American Gangster and others.
