Jay-Z may record a duo with Amy Winehouse

Apr 04, 2009
US rapper Jay-Z claimed that he was eager to work with Amy Winehouse – for example, to record a duo for her upcoming album. «Amy has a really powerful voice, it is so distinctive and beautiful. Hopefully in the future we could get together and work on some new material – I’d love to work with her again», said rapper, who has already recorded a remix on Amy’s most famous song Rehab.

It was said previously that Mark Ronson may become the producer of Amy’s new record. Winehouse’s initial demos were rejected by her record label earlier this week, and then newspapers reported that Ronson was asked to «save» upcoming album.

Mark Ronson produced Amy’s second album Back To Black, released in 2006.

Jay-Z is going to release his own album The Blueprint 3 later this year.
