NEWS10.06.2009 Jay-Z and Girls Aloud will support Coldplay on both of their London shows Coldplay announced that Jay-Z and Girls Aloud will perform at both of the band’s Wembley Stadium shows that are scheduled to take place this autumn. Earlier it was said that Jay-Z will play only at the first gig, and Girls Aloud – only at the second.
It was also announced that White Lies will perform as a supporting act at both shows. These concerts will be a part of a huge Coldplay's UK tour, and will take place on September 18 and 19. Coldplay themselves are currently working on their new studio album. According to the band’s leader Chris Martin, yet-untitled record will be a concept album revolving around a secret story. Martin also claimed that it would be more stripped-down than Coldplay’s 2008’s record Viva La Vida Or Death And All His Friends. At the same time, Jay-Z has nearly finished The Blueprint 3 album.
