James McAvoy will play Kurt Cobain?

According to reports, James McAvoy will play Kurt Cobain in the upcoming biopic from Universal Pictures. The film will be based on Charles Cross's book “ Heavier Than Heaven”, and Courtney Love will be executive-produce of the movie.

James McAvoy is known for his roles in Shameless, The Last King Of Scotland, and Atonement, and now he will be Kurt Cobain in a film about Nirvana’s frontmen.

The book “Heavier Than Heaven” was based on hundreds of interviews with the dead rock legend, his friends, and his family. The script will be written by Troy screenwriter David Benioff. Allthough Courtney Love will participate in film creation, there is yet no word if the other members of Nirvana will be involved.
