Jack White compared being an artist to going to army

Ex-The White Stripes frontman Jack White revealed his thoughts about the life of a famous musician. Singer claimed that he devotes to his work 24 hours a day, also comparing his experience to going to army.

"Once you've made that choice, he says, you can never go home again. Whatever your name was before, and whoever you were, you don't get to be that person ever again. I can only imagine that's like going to war and coming back a completely different person", said he.

Yesterday Jack White – who has recently released debut solo album Blunderbuss – revealed that he still got 12 tracks so he may record another effort. According to his words, most of these songs were written for The White Stripes and The Raconteurs in different time, but he believes they are also suitable for his own disk.

"We had enough for an album at one point, but I just kept going… I've got another 12 songs that I haven't finished yet. There's songs that The White Stripes never really played live, or The Raconteurs never really got that into, or songs that I brought to the table in a band - songs like Buffalo - and now I can elaborate on them", said he.
