Jack White and Karen O were not nominated for Oscar

The list of nominees for this year's Academy Awards was announced yesterday, on February 2. Original Song category does not feature neither Jack White nor Karen O, who were considered to be the main favorites for the Oscar award in this nomination.

Jack White’s track Fly Farm Blue from the documentary It Might Get Loud and Karen O's All Is Love from Where The Wild Things Are were among 63 songs «contending of nomination». However, both tracks failed to enter the final list.

Instead, it features songs Almost There and Down In New Orleans by Randy Newman from The Princess And The Frog movie. List of nominees also includes Reinhardt Wagner's track Loin De Paname from Paris 36, Mury Yeston's Tak It All from Nine and The Weary Kind by Ryan Bingham and T Bone Burnett from Crazy Heart.

Best Original Score category features soundtracks from Avatar, Fantastic Mr. Fox, The Hurt Locker, Sherlock Holmes and Up.

The ceremony will take place on March 7 in Los Angeles.
