Iron Maiden recorded new album earlier than planned

Feb 02, 2010
Iron Maiden revealed that they have already finished the recording of their fifteenth studio album. The band’s producer Kevin Shirley also confirmed this information. «All the music recording is done. There's still work to do, but the band portion is complete and in the can, so to speak», claimed he.

Earlier Iron Maiden said that they planned to finish new album only in autumn, so it would hit the stores in the beginning of 2011. Now there is an opportunity that the record will be released earlier.

The band still did not reveal the album’s name and the tracklisting. However, Iron Maiden’s drummer Nicko McBrain claimed that the band may perform new songs at the upcoming Sonisphere Festival this summer, which Iron Maiden will be headlining together with Rammstein.

Iron Maiden’s previous album A Matter Of Life And Death was released in 2006.
