Green Day will re-record 21 Guns single

Green Day revealed plans to rework their single 21 Guns. The band wants to record it together with the cast of their recently premiered musical American Idiot. The band will also shoot new music video for the song.

Originally, 21 Guns was released in May as the second single from Green Day’s last album 21st Century Breakdown.

American Idiot musical was premiered this September. Staged by Michael Mayer, it features the entire tracklist of Green Day's eponymous album, as well as several songs from 21st Century Breakdown.
