Green Day thanked Lady Gaga for praising them

Green Day have commented Lady Gaga’s recent claims – last week pop-star said that the band’s 1994 album Dookie was her favorite record for a long time. According to the band's drummer Tre Cool, they were surprised by these words. But, at the same time, they were pleased to hear it.

Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong, in his turn, praised Lady Gaga: «She's a good artist. She's a risk-taker. She's an original. It's pretty awesome».

He also praised Kings Of Leon, saying that he was keeping an eye on their career. Green Day are recently trying to remake their 2004’s record American Idiot into the musical. According to the band, the play will feature all songs from the album, as well as Know Your Enemy, Too Much Too Soon, When It's Time, Last Night On Earth, Before The Lobotomy and 21 Guns.

The band’s last album 21st Century Breakdown hit the stores this May.
