Green Day spoke about free concert

Green Day revealed details about their free concert in New York. The show, which is dated to the release of their new album 21st Century Breakdown, will take place on May 19.

300 free tickets for the show will be raffled off between the members of the band’s Idiot Club. It join it, fans must fill in a form on Myspace.com/thelist.

Fans will also have the opportunity to watch the webcast online afterwards through MySpace Music.

21st Century Breakdown is a concept album telling the story of a young couple called Christian and Gloria. Green Day said that new record would be influenced by such bands as The Creation, The Who, The Beatles, Cheap Trick and The Jam.

The band’s last studio album American Idiot was released in 2004. In 2007 they recorded disk Stop Drop And Roll!!! under the name Foxboro Hot Tubs.
