Green Day revealed footage from studio

Green Day has unveiled video footage from their studio in Los Angeles that shows the band working on its next studio effort. You can watch it here. They also revealed some details about the record, saying that the songs they have written sound "really great" and that the album promises to be "groundbreaking".

Green Day also claimed that their musical American Idiot, that have become one of the most successful Broadway productions over the last few years, is now set to be staged in UK.

Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong recently revealed that unlike the band's two previous releases – American Idiot and 21st Century Breakdown – this disk will not be a concept album, and described the record as "raw and straightforward".

It is unknown if Green Day's last single Carpe Diem – released last autumn – will be included in the album.
