Gorillaz became the most popular act on MySpace

MySpace webservice revealed its top eight most popular acts and most watched music videos of 2008. Gorillaz have taken the first place – their personal webpage has 682,875 friends. The band, created by Blur frontman Damon Albarn, beat The Bullet For My Valentine and Amy Winehouse.

Madonna’s music video 4 Minutes became the most popular video of the year. The second place was taken by The Verve’s song Love Is Noise.
