Gorillaz are going to perform a duo with Snoop Dogg

Gorillaz may collaborate with Snoop Dogg during their headline performance at the Glastonbury festival on June 25. US rapper is set to play on the same stage earlier this day. The band’s bassist Murdoc also named Mos Def and The Hypnotic Brass as acts that may join Gorillaz.

When asked about artists he wanted to see at the festival, Murdoc replayed: «Snoop Dogg, Mos Def and The Hypnotic Brass. But then I can watch them with us when we play… maybe».

Snoop Dogg recently collaborated with Gorillaz on the track Welcome To The World Of The Plastic Beach, which was included in the band’s last to date album Plastic Beach.

Last month it was announced that legendary rock musician Lou Reed may perform with Gorillaz at the Glastonbury too. Blur’s Damon Albarn, the creator of the cartoon band, claimed that he would like to join forces with Reed.

Lou Reed contributed vocals for the track Some Kind Of Nature from Plastic Beach album.

Gorillaz were set up for Glastonbury this week, after U2 had to cancel their performance due to injury of the band’s frontman Bono.
