Global music sales turned down in 2007

Music industry is facing hard times – according to the statistics, physical sales of music have dropped, with total album sales plunging 15 percent in 2007 in the United States, the world's biggest music market, and falling over 10 percent in Britain.

At the same time, global digital music sales showed 40 percent increase on 2006 (15 percent of the global music market) – partly, it was achived due to the Radiohead, who released their album In Rainbows through the Net.
