Girls Aloud are set to reunite in 2012

Girls Aloud are set to make their comeback next year. This information was unveiled by American producer Louis Walsh, who named the band's Cheryl Cole as a source – earlier they worked together on The X Factor USA TV show, where they both have taken roles of judges.

"I've been on the phone to Cheryl Cole all day, honestly I can show you texts, she's fine. She's getting back with Girls Aloud in 2012 and they're going to tour", said he.

Earlier rumors claimed that Girls Aloud would to reunite in 2012 to mark a decade since the band creation. According to their manager Hilary Shaw, they will go on tour across Great Britain. "Everybody wants them to make a comeback and it will be next year. Well, it is their tenth anniversary so there will be something", said Shaw.

Girls Aloud were put together in 2002 as a members of the TV talent show Popstars: The Rivals. The band has released five albums – Sound Of The Underground (2003), What Will The Neighbours Say? (2004), Chemistry (2005), Tangled Up (2007) and Out Of Control (2008). All of them achieved commercial success.

After the band went on indefinite hiatus in 2008, two of its members – Cheryl Cole and Nadine Coyle – have launched solo careers.
