Garbage take inspiration from David Bowie

Garbage frontwoman Shirley Manson unveiled some details about the band's upcoming album Not Your Kind Of People. According to the singer, they were drawing inspiration from music by David Bowie, as well as from such acts as Suicide, Siouxsie Sioux and Cocteau Twins.

She also claimed that the record was produced by Butch Vig, who is known for his work with Nirvana, Foo Fighters, Green Day and other notable rock bands.

Garbage already released first single from Not Your Kind Of People, titled Blood For Poppies, and music video for it.

Upcoming album will be the band's first studio effort in seven years. Previous one, named Bleed Like Me, hit the stores in 2005.
