Garbage blamed record label for the hiatus
Apr 04, 2012"We were just at odds with the whole major label system morally and intellectually. We were stuck with a record label who didn't give a damn about us because they couldn't get us on the radio. They were totally disinterested and washed their hands of us", said she.
Shirley Manson added: "We were constantly surrounded by such negativity that it just ends up eating away at the individuals in the band and we began to take it out on one another".
Recently Garbage drummer Butch Vig complained that record labels have not paid enough attention to Garbage: "We started out on independent labels both in the UK and in the US and then they ended up getting bought up by bigger corporate labels. In the end, no one from those labels seems to care or know who you are as a band".
Garbage are currently working on the new album Not Your Kind Of People. Their previous effort Bleed Like Me hit the stores in 2005.
