Furniture from Michael Jackson's house will be sold through an auction

Mar 03, 2010
Custom-made furniture from Michael Jackson's house in London will be put on an auction later this year. All in all, 22 pieces will be sold. According to the reports, some of them were set to be used during Michael Jackson's ill-fated performances at the O2 Arena – such as a leopard-print chair decorated with ostrich feathers or a pair of velvet armchairs embroidered with gold eagles.

Items will be used in a re-creation exposition of singer’s home in Las Vegas' Planet Hollywood casino from June 14 to June 25. Later they will go on sale.

A part of the proceeds from the auction will be donated to charity organizations MusiCares and Joshua's Heart.

Last week singer’s brother Jermaine announced that Michael Jackson tribute show would take place on June 8, 2010 at Wembley stadium in London. It is set to feature Prince, Carlos Santana, Justin Timberlake, Shakira, Earth Wind And Fire, Usher, Jennifer Hudson, Whitney Houston and others.

Michael Jackson has died from a heart attack on June 25 at the age of 50.
