Friendly Fires chose new album's title

Jan 01, 2011
Friendly Fires revealed details about the work on their second studio album. According to the frontman Ed Macfarlane, the band has chosen the name for the record – it will be titled Pala.

He also said that Pala was done in collaboration with producers Paul Epworth (Adele, Cee Lo Green, Plan B) and Andrew Weatherall (Beth Orton, Primal Scream). One of the tracks is a duo with Holy Ghost's Alex Frankel.

Speaking about the record, Ed Macfarlane said: "I just kept working, all day and into the night. After three weeks I was getting cabin fever but I had to focus, because the songs needed to get written. Did I feel under pressure from the rest of the band? Yeah, just a bit".

Friendly Fires' debut eponymous album hit the stores in 2008.
