Foo Fighters spoke about new album
Oct 10, 2010Foo Fighters' frontman Dave Grohl revealed some details about the band's next studio album. According to his words, the record will feature his former Nirvana's bandmate Krist Novoselic, as well as famous producer Butch Vig, who worked on Nirvana's 1991 album Nevermind.
"The last month and a half we've been in my garage recording totally old school analogue with Butch Vig. This whole project has been really cool because I haven't made a record with Butch in 20 years, almost exactly 20 years", said Dave Grohl.
He also claimed that the album's track Dear Rosemary was recorded in collaboration with Husker Du's vocalist Bob Mould. "Honestly, it sounds like if Husker Du wrote a four or five minute hit opus and then the Foo Fighters played it", said he.
The album's title and release date are yet unknown. Foo Fighters' previous studio effort, named Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace, hit the stores in 2007.
