Foo Fighters are working on the new album
Apr 04, 2010«In all honesty, Dave Grohl's got 15 or so song ideas that are awesome and we've already demoed some of them twice even. We do a lot of demoing to find exactly the arrangements we want, getting them exactly how we want them», said he.
Dave Grohl is also busy with the second album of his side-project Them Crooked Vultures.
Hawkins added: «It's a large process for us. It takes a long time to do it. We don't just say: «OK, let's go make a record and pop in the studio and record it just like that». There's a lot of preproduction that goes into making a Foo Fighter record».
Drummer, who has recently released new album with his band The Coattail Riders, claimed that side-projects have been doing no harm for the band. «As long as everybody's ready, as long as we don't do it because we feel like we have to, like because the record company wants another record», claimed he.
Foo Fighters' previous album Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace was released in 2007.
