Film about Joy Division can win ten BIFA nominations
Oct 10, 2007The film Control, biopic that tells about Ian Curtis, Joy Division frontman, has landed ten nominations at this year’s British Independent Film Awards. Film was realesed earlier this month and won huge acclaim because of its frank documentary of Curtis’ life.
Film’s nominations include Best Director for Anton Corbijn, Best Actor for Sam Riley (who plays Curtis), Best Film for Control itself, etc. Awards will be presented at a ceremony in London on November, 28 2007. Previously, Control has won some awards at Cannes Film Festival.
