Fernando Torres thanked Kasabian for giving him an inspiration

Spain national team forward Fernando Torres thanked Kasabian for giving him and his teammates an inspiration to advance to FIFA World Cup final match. According to the footballer, they listened to the band's song Club Foot before each victorious game and they will definitely play it again before the final match against Holland on Sunday, July 11.

He added: "If we win the World Cup I would like to present them with a Spain shirt signed by all of us because their music has been a big inspiration to us in the dressing room".

Fernando Torres also promised to visit Kasabian concert after the World Cup. "We will all come to watch them. Me, Cesc Fabregas and Pepe Reina. That's cool", claimed he.

Last week Fernando Torres claimed that he considered Kasabian to be "the best British band since The Beatles". One of the most famous players of Spain national team made this claim as a respond to the recent interview by Argentina's Lionel Messi, who named himself huge Oasis fan.

Fernando Torres said: "I read that Messi had discovered Oasis and was listening to them before World Cup matches, so I texted him to say that, while Oasis were good, Kasabian were the best British band since The Beatles".

Kasabian are currently working on the new album. Their last studio effort West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum hit the stores in June 2009.
