Etta James' albums sales grow by 370%
Jan 01, 2012Sales of Etta James' albums have significantly increased after her death last weekend. For instance, singer's best hits compilation The Best of Etta James - 20th Century Masters: The Millennium Collection has risen from 162th to 46th position on the US Billboard chart.
All in all, sales of Etta James' albums have grown from 6,000 last week to 30,000, which marked a 378% increase.
Sales of one of her biggest hits At Last have grown up from 63,000 to 118,000.
Etta James passed away on January 20 in the hospital in Riverside, California, where she was receiving care after experiencing difficulty breathing. She was at the age of 73.
The list of artists who paid tribute to the dead singer also features such artists as Lady GaGa, Kings Of Leon, Aretha Franklin, Azealia Banks, Katy B and Nile Rodgers.
