Eminem revealed his gratitude to Run DMC

Eminem praised legendary hip-hop band Run DMC while he was introducing them to Rock and Roll Hall of Fame on April 4. He named them «the first rock stars of rap», describing the band as «something fresh, something tough. Something dangerous. Something beautiful and something unique. Two turntables and a microphone».

Famous rapper also claimed that Run DMC changed his life.

Run DMC became the second hip-hop band introduced to Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, following Grandmaster Flash And The Furious Five (they were introduced in 2006). The artitst or the band becomes eligible for inclusion 25 years after the release of their first recording.

Metallica, Jeff Beck, Bobby Womack, Little Anthony and his band The Imperials were also introduced to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame last week.

Eminem himself will release two albums this year. The first one of them, named Relapse, will hit the stores in May.
