Eminem is set to play a boxer

Eminem is set to play main role in an upcoming drama movie Southpaw. Rapper will portray a famous boxer who, according to film's producer Kurt Sutter, "really hits a hard bottom, and has to fight to win back his life for his young daughter".

The movie will be directed by Antoine Fuqua, who is most famous for 2001's police drama Training Day. According to Fuqua, it was him who has invited Eminem to join the cast.

"I know he's very selective and doesn't do a lot. But at its core, this film is a retelling of his struggles with drugs over the last five years of his life, using the boxing analogy", claimed he.

Eminem's last to date album Recovery hit the stores in June 2010.
