Eminem and Lil Wayne will help Travis Barker to record solo album

Aug 08, 2010
Blink-182's drummer Travis Barker revealed that his upcoming solo album was recorded with the help of the huge list of rappers. Eminem, Snoop Dogg and Lil Wayne are among those who worked with Barker on his studio effort.

Drake, T.I., The Game, Pharrell Williams, RZA and a number of other rappers were also named as Travis Barker’s collaborators.

Barker himself produced the album and also played drums on it.

"I'm not singing or being an MC or anything. Over the last five years, when Blink-182 wasn't around, I played a lot by myself or did a whole bunch of stuff with just me. Whether I was playing with T.I. or doing whatever, it just opened another world for me", said Barker.

Yet-untitled record is set to be released in October.

Blink-182 bass guitarist Mark Hoppus revealed that the band has decided to record new album this autumn. According to the musician, the work is set to start right after Blink-182 will finish their series of gigs in Europe.

New record will be Blink-182's first album in seven years. Their last to date studio effort, named simply Blink-182, hit the stores in 2003.
