Elton John recorded a duo with Alice In Chains
Aug 08, 2009«We got a call from our studio manager saying that Elton wanted to talk to us. We jumped in the car, left our lunches on the table and cruised back to the studio. I didn't think that would happen. One of the most nerve-racking moments I had was actually making a suggestion to him. But he was really open to the process», said Cantrell.
Black Gives Way To Blue will be the first single from the band’s eponymous album that will hit the stores in September. The album will becomeу Alice In Chains’ first record since singer Layne Staley's death in 2002, when he was found dead in his home after a drug overdose. The band has performed with several guest singers recently, and invited Comes With The Fall singer William DuVall to contribute vocals for this album.
Black Gives Way To Blues will be released by EMI's record label Virgin Records. Upcoming record was produced by Nick Raskulinecz who has previously worked with Rush and Foo Fighters.
Alice in Chains’s previous album, named as the band itself, hit the stores in 1995.
