Jan 01, 2012
Elbow bassist Pete Turner revealed that BBC asked the band to write score for its coverage of upcoming London 2012 Olympics. Musician claimed that they have already finished the work on this "soundtrack" for Olympic Games, adding that it sounds "really good".

"That was really good. Just an area that we've never explored, really, writing something specifically for something else. And it was great; really good fun. It's got the Philharmonic Orchestra on it. I'm looking forward to hearing that. I think it gets its first airing in March", claimed he.

Elbow are currently on tour in support of the album Build A Rocket Boys! that was released in 2011.
