Dizzee Rascal will record an official anthem of England national football team
May 05, 2010Anonymous source told The Sun newspaper: «Simon got in touch with Dizzee Rascal with the idea. He really admires how Dizzee has gone from hardcore rapper to chart-topping hit maker. To say Dizzee was surprised to hear from him is an understatement. But they really hit it off».
The source added: «Simon is supervising the project and suggested that Dizzee should share some vocals with James. They've taken a huge hit from the 80s and brought it bang up to date. It's bound to be huge».
It is unknown when Dizzee Rascal and Simon Cowell will release the track.
Last month Robbie Williams and comedian Russell Brand recorded new version of the song Three Lions, the unofficial anthem of English national football team. Original composition was written and performed by The Lightning Seeds, and released ahead of 1996 UEFA European Football Championship.
